Expandable Graphite is a new type of halogen-free flame-retardant material that made of natural graphite by acid intercalation. In case of fire, the graphite will expand hundred times in volume due to thermal decomposition, and form a char layer on the surface, to cut off the fire in the beginning. By-product of Expandable Graphite after fire shows high oxidation and temperature resistance, which make it good flame retardant, and can be used in PU Foam, EPS Foam, Rubber and Plastics.
Highlights of the material:
·Halogen free ·Heat Insulating ·Low Smoke ·Low Toxic Gases ·Reduce Heat Release ·Non-Dripping
